BIG BEN
Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London. The tower is officially known as Elizabeth Tower, previously, it was known simply as the Clock Tower. It was completed in 1859.
The tower had its 150th anniversary on 31 May 2009, during which celebratory events took place.A British cultural icon, the tower is one of the most prominent symbols of the United Kingdom
STONEHENGE
Stonehenge is a structure made up megaliths. It is in the south-west of England, near Salisbury. Some archeologists think that it was bulit from 3000bc to 2000bc and that represent an ancient observatory. The archaeological site is assciate with many legends like for example King Arthur and wizard Merlin.
Today Stonehenge is a toursim destination and also a place of peligrimage for many followers of Celtism religion, Wicca movement and other neopagan religions.
TOWER BRIDGE
Tower Bridge is a bridge in London built in 1886-1894. The bridge crosses the River Thames close to the Tower of London and has become an iconic symbol of London. Tower Bridge is one of five London bridges.
The bridge consists of two bridge towers tied together at the upper level by two horizontal walkways,
The bridge is freely accessible to both vehicles and pedestrians, while the bridge's twin towers, high-level walkways and Victorian engine rooms are part of the Tower Bridge Exhibition.
ROYAL GREENWICH OBSERVATORY
The Royal Observatory, Greenwichs an observatory situated on a hill in Greenwich Park, overlooking the River Thames.
It played a major role in the history of astronomy and navigation, and is best known as the location of the prime meridian.
The Greenwich site is now maintained as a museum for tourists who want to visit it.
